Historical bits...

Brod has been interested in photography since his school days in Kenya when he 'borrowed' his mother's Brownie Box to take photos of local bird life 'up-country'.  The chance to attend a Royal Garden Party in Nairobi during the visit of HM Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother  to Kenya, also enabled him to catch a few 'snaps' of the Queen Mother.

After a few years post marriage ciné work, mainly in Malta, Brod returned to still photography in Hong Kong.  Membership of the local Amateur Photography Society brought him a number of competition awards for self developed and printed photographs.  Enough room in his Hong Kong flat enabled Brod to develop his own dark room as well as his developing and printing techniques.  Brod also received a highly commended comment for his entry for Licentiate of the Sai Wan Camera Club in Hong Kong.

Back in UK, Brod had some of his Black and White Photographs accepted for a National Exhibition.

An active Motor Sport enthusiast (driver, navigator and organizer) enabled Brod to catch various motor sporting celebrities, both local and domestic, in Hong Kong.  His work has featured on a number of magazine covers as well as inside the Year Book of the Motor Sports Club of Hong Kong and the official history of the Macao Grand Prix.  Since returning to Britain, his work also featured in the Royal Air Force sports magazine 'Active' and the Porsche Enthusiasts Club magazine 'All Torque'...again covering motor sports events in Europe and Britain.

Catching up with technology, Brod has now given in to the digital age and bought himself a digital camera.  With practice, Brod is now planning a return to semi-professional status as a freelance photographer, concentrating on Motorsport events and inventory photography.  He can be contacted through webmaster@pr4motorsport.com.
